Safety is not the absence of events; safety is the presence of defenses.  This scorecard reflects that belief and that we are on the right path.

As part of our Continuous Improvement journey, the culture of safety is always evolving at Gold Eagle. Our goal is to help us learn from one another. We ask operators to trust and communicate differently with leadership, which is challenging at times. However, our team has stepped up to the challenge and is helping create a pro-actively safe environment for all of Gold Eagle.

The Workers’ Compensation Trust of Illinois was established in 1981 with the goal of stabilizing workers’ compensation costs on a long-term basis for safety-driven Illinois manufacturers. The Trust enables participating manufacturing companies to pool their excellent loss results and self-insure their workers’ compensation exposure.

Members stand committed to managing progressive safety programs and are actively involved in the fair and expedient management of claims. For over 30 years, they’ve shared the philosophy that their employees are their greatest asset and that a safe workplace is their highest priority.
