Gold Eagle Company Names New Vice President of Operations and Vice President of Private Label and Branding
January 22, 2019 (Chicago, Ill) – Gold Eagle Company, makers of America’s #1 selling brand of fuel stabilizers and ethanol treatments, STA-BIL®, and the leading line of protectants and cleaners, 303® Products, today announced the addition of Jim Ferguson as vice president of operations and Mark Bozich as vice president of private label and private branding. Hailing from the manufacturing industry, both Ferguson and Bozich possess years of experience that will continue to move Gold Eagle Co. forward.
“Jim and Mark’s addition to the Gold Eagle Co. team will allow us to grow and develop new horizons for the future,” said Gold Eagle Co. CEO Marc Blackman. “As an 85-year-old company, we are evolving to meet new opportunities in both our consumer brands and contract packaging business.”
Ferguson brings expertise in manufacturing, safety and organizational development to the family-owned industry pioneer in the production and distribution of performance chemicals and surface treatments. Previously, Ferguson worked at Amcor Ridge Packaging for 15 years, most recently serving as senior director of operations where he was responsible for 12 manufacturing plants with 1,100 employees.
“When looking at a manufacturing organization, culture trumps strategy in every case,” said Ferguson. “A family-oriented organization that puts people first has the values, determination and quality to drive growth. Priorities start with safety and housekeeping, the bedrock of building a quality and productive manufacturing operation.”
Bozich’s years of experience in original equipment manufacturing (OEM) and distribution provide him with industry insights in multiple verticals, including manufacturing of hard goods, soft goods, wholesale, business services and numerous other categories, making him an excellent addition to the Gold Eagle Co. team. Bozich’s career began at a capital equipment and chemical manufacturer where he quickly expanded his division and grew company profits. Most recently, Bozich was the vice president of sales, operations and business development at Afflink. Just prior to that, Bozich served as president of NISSCO.
“There is a massive opportunity with Gold Eagle Co. to expand B2B chemical portfolios,” said Bozich. “The traditional B2B model is quickly disappearing and the business customer now expects a CPG experience. Gold Eagle does more than merely filling bottling and slapping on a label. We incorporate our CPG marketing and digital expertise and team members into the B2B world, which is something new to the B2B industry, and now demanded by the business consumer. Gold Eagle Co.’s world-class capabilities have positioned the company to be a thought-leader and trailblazer.”
