1974 Plymouth Roadrunner
Scoops, Stripes & Spoilers

1950 Chevy Bel Air Deluxe
This is my first running classic car, at age 26. My first is a 1968 Barracuda, bought one year ago, that is still in the project stage (I am in the process of a full restoration of the Barracuda). The Roadrunner is an all original numbers matching 318 V8 automatic on the colum. It has factory air conditioning and and bench seats. The original am/fm radio and air conditioner all work. The car is in great shape. I am the third owner, and the Roadrunner has been in North Alabama since new. There are a few new items such as a headliner and sunvisors and some a/c parts. The paint and stripe kit are brand new also. The car is an original Roadrunner, not a clone and is painted original factory red with the same stripe kit as it left the factory. I had the car painted recently and it was original paint prior to that. I love the car because of the color and stripe combination, as well as the fact that it is rare to find any 1974 Mopars at local events. Both my cars have caused me to start or help start two  Full restoration was done on this car by my dad and myself. My dad has passed away, but this car is very much a part of him. It was his second wife.

1931 Ford Coupe
The Midnight Rodders

1968 Shelby Ford Mustang GT 500
Mustang & Shelby Club of Long Island
My home built Model-A coupe has a .60 over 350, tilt, cruise, air, power windows and it's name is Hot Stuff. I have owned this car for twenty seven years and driven it in sixteen states totaling almost one hundred and fifty thousand miles!  1968 GT500 On September 13, 1990 I entered into an agreement that would forever change my life. Andy Helsinger owner of Caliber Collision decided to sell a few toys to finance the opening of a new body shop. I had been looking for something different to add to my collection of cars and I was tired of waiting for my 65 Mustang fastback to have its engine to be rebuilt. So as a single guy w/ money I was on the prowl for something special. I looked at a few local Shelby Mustangs but I wanted either a 1965 which are very hard to find or a big block GT500. Andy was selling just what the doctor ordered. I went to look at the pretty solid but not so pretty GT500 w/ my friend Frankie and my girlfriend Inger who I would marry two years later to the day and said this car would work. Only problem was the car was $16,000 or best offer and I was bidding against former club member Brian C. He cost me $3,000. I offered Andy $16,000 and a small bidding war followed in $500 increments and the car was bought over the phone.

1967 Chevy Nova

1968 Pontiac GTO
GTO Association of PA
This is a 1967 Chevy Nova SS with a new Chevy ZZ 383 crate engine , Bowtie Overdrive 700R4 trans , with 3:55 posi. 12 bolt rearend. It has a MSD ignition, Hooker headers, Sun tach, CS 130 alternator, aluminum radiator, all new suspension , including Classic Performance front suspension , disc brakes, oversize rear brakes. It is used for crusing and car shows only. This is a 1968 Pontiac GTO coupe. It has a 400 cubic inch V8 rated at 350 horsepower, a 4 speed transmission, and power steering. It gets 104+ Octane Boost in with the 93 Octane gasoline because it has a high compression engine. And in the Fall, I add Sta-Bil to my gas before I put it away until the Spring. The car is mostly original, and is not a show piece. I enjoy going to cruises and car club events.

1978 Mustang II King Cobra

1963 Ford Fairlane 500
Past Reflections Car Club
I wanted a mustang for my first car, and this car is what I found. Car is mostly a stock 302 four speed manual, aside from a Holley 650 carb, Edelbrock Torker II intake, a mild camshaft, rear air shocks, and American Racing Ansen Sprint rims. The exaust system is also custom, exiting just before the rear wheels, with full length chrome Ford Motorsport headers and Flowmaster mufflers. I painted the car with Dupont's Hot Hues Warp Speed Blue and did virtually all of the prep/paint work myself. e had brought the car in 2002 it was in fair shape but not running. We had the motor rebuilt , painted it and redone the interior put baby moon rims on it just reciently put fender skirts on it.

1955 Chevy Bel Air

1963 Corvettes
This has been an ongoing project for 5 years. It has a 350cu.in 400 hp with a 700R4. The rear end is a stock housing but it has Moser engineered axels with a set of 3:08 gears. I have 4 wheel disk brakes to get her stopped. This is just a few of the modifications that I have done. There are so many modifications that I keep a journal telling of them all. She has taken her share of 1st place shows. ILNCRS
I have included pictures of my two 1963 Corvettes. The black with red interior coupe is a very early fuelie with original knock off wheels. I restored this car in the early 80's and sold it in the late 80's. I always missed the car and when I found it on E-Bay in 2006, I just had to buy it back. The red with black interior is a very late car with a 340 HP engine. I found it in a garage where it had been sitting since 1979. I bought from the second owner and completed the restoration in 2008. Please consider these cars for entry into your promotion.

1971 Plymouth Barracuda

1964 Corvair Spyder Convertible
The car loves to take fast trips to the Dairy Twist for ice cream or the cider mill for apples and pumpkins. It can also be seen every year going fast, but mostly slow, at the Woodward Dream Cruise. It has a 383 engine, auto transmission, power steering, A/C, and a power top. It gets a "thumbs up" every time. Factory original 64 Corvair Spyder with 59,000 miles. Only 4761 of these were made in '64 with the 150hp air cooled turbocharged engine. I took every componet, nut and bolt off the car, cleaned, buffed, polished, and put it back together. Every part of this vehicle is original except for the tires, battery, and top. I believe it to be one of the finest examples of an orginal Corvair in the country.

1973 Chevy Corvette

1984 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible
I have had this Vette for 6 months and it is all number matching, at this time no restoration, orginal paint and all. 350 V-8, L-82, auto. This is my second Vette my first was 1961 and sold it in 1968 and finaly got another Vette. This is one great driver. My wife and I really enjoy taking this car out and watching the people turn their heads. This car is all original. It has 32,000 miles. Clean inside and out. Original owner bought it for his wife who did not like it. Only 3,500 of these convertibles were made in 1984. GM manufactured them as hard tops. If you wanted a convertible, GM sent them to a company in Ohio that cut the top off and put in the soft top. It is a true convertible. Second owner took it to Florida from Illinois a few times. I drive it often in the summer. Room for five. Has four cigarette lighters, four ash trays and no cup holders. Wire wheels have 50 spokes per wheel and take 45 minutes each to shine! Top is in excellent shape. Dash has a combination of analog and digital instruments. Everything works. The hood is so long it gets to the destination a minute before the driver. Despite its size, it gets 20+ miles per gallon. It's stays in the garage (with Sta-Bil protection) during our Illinois winters.

1962 Pontiac Tempest LeMans

1966 Chevy Malibu
South East Rods & Customs
This is my 1962 Pontiac Tempest LeMans. Yes Tempest LeMans is correct, 1962 was the first year for the LeMans. It was an upgrade on the Tempest. I found the car sitting on an auction lot in 2006. The engine and transmission have been rebuilt. The body was solid; we only found 3 small holes when we took the car down to bare metal. It is now sporting a new new paint and top. The car is as close to showroom as I can get, with the exception of a few more ponies at the engine. The engine is the 45 degree slant 4 cylinder (1/2 of the 389 V8). The engine is in the front with a rear transaxle, wit a 4 wheel independent suspension. The engine is the optional 4 cylinder coded 77Y. That give you a 4 barrel carburetor, hotter camshaft, 10.25 to 1 compression, anda 2.25 inch exhaust. Factory rating was 166HP. I had the intake and exhaust ports and manifolds polished, then matched to the cylinder head, so the factor number should be low. It is not a race car, just a plesant cruser.
Our cool ride is named Maggie. She is a 66 Chevy Malibu,327 cid,700r4 trans,336 posi rear end, power front disc brakes. p/s, a/c & XM radio. She is a great cruiser getting up to 19 MPG.In ten shows entered She has taken eight awards including rep/safety pic at the NSRA South East National in Tampa Fl. in 2008.

1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1

1983 Ford Thunderbird
Everyone loves Mustangs I bought the car in 2001,with 27k original miles, from the original owner. I have since, pulled the 3.8 v6 and replaced it with a 302,had the trans built up and am in the middle of a rear end swap (7.5 to 8.8).I really dont have any further plans for now,but we will see.

1957 Ford Fairlane 500

2001 Chevy Corvette

What can i say, its a convertible, who dosen't want a convertible??????????
2001 Vert that I've owned since new. Body mods include fender flares, rear facia, front spoiler and hood. Runs an ECS Procharger blower kit (lots of go fast stuff) producing 523 RWHP. Aluminum flywheel, after market clutch, 1 3/4" headers and high flow cats. After market stereo with GPS, DVD, IPOD, XM radio etc . . . After market speakers with a 12" subwoofer and 800w amp in the trunk. Car was originally a cruiser that we turned into a weekend show car that can snap your neck.
